Through the years, CJ's passion for entertainment carried on but he would go on to take what many would consider an nontraditional road back to film. He began his career in finance after graduating from Florida A&M University and pursued opportunities in both New York and Atlanta.
Working on many independent projects in both of these blossoming entertainment hubs prepared him for his next transition to Los Angeles. After moving to LA, CJ became the producer for the Emmy nominated digital series, Giants.
Since debuting as a producer on the second season, the show has won several awards including a Streamy, Indie Series Awards, International Academy of Web Television, Houston Black Film Festival's award for Best Drama Series along with a 2018 Voice Award.
In 2019, CJ founded his production company, Face Forward Productions, a home for feature films and television.
