Being raised and surrounded by artists (her mother Sonja Sutter was an ensemble member of the renowned Burgtheater in Vienna and her father a resident physician at the Salzburg Festival), Carolin Fink became exposed to the world of theater from an early age which definitely left an imprint on her life.

At age 11 she started studying to play the piano at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg while being enrolled in middle and later on in high school with a specific focus on musical education. Upon high school graduation she began her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna only to transfer to the Ernst Busch Drama School in Berlin where she finally received her acting diploma.

She then became an ensemble member at the Residenz Theater Munich debuting as Recha in Lessing's Nathan the Wise alongside Martin Benrath on the stage of Prinzregenten Theater. Among the many stage directors she worked with are Achim Benning, Volker Hesse, Horst Schönemann, Gerald Thomas, Werner Müller, and Thomas Schulte-Michels.

Audiences saw her in plays ranging from classical to modern literature such as Brecht's "The Good Person of Szechwan", Shakespeare's "The Tempest", Jean Racine's "Britannicus", Maxim Gorky's "Children of the Sun", and Lillian Hellmann's "The Little Foxes".

Carolin Fink's entry into the German film and television landscape began when she became a main cast member of the award-winning film trilogy "Die Zweite Heimat". She has since worked repeatedly with directors such as Martin Enlen, Thomas Jauch, Niki Muellerschoen, Matthias Tiefenbacher, and Olaf Kreinsen.

In the television industry as well as to the general German public she is best known for her performances in successful national TV series like "Der Alte", "Ein starkes Team", "Kommissarin Lucas", "SoKo Muenchen", "SoKo Wien", "Schwarzach 23", "Die Rosenheim Cops", and "Um Himmels Willen".

In 2015, the ARD network comedy show "Fragen an Schorsch Aigner - Der Mann der Franz Beckenbauer war" starred Carolin as the partner of actor Olli Dittrich who was nominated for the 2016 Adolf Grimme Prize.

In addition, Carolin periodically works as guest star at the Chamber Opera in Munich and also records - on a regular basis - cultural segments for the Bayerische Rundfunk and ORF Salzburg. And last but surely not least she leads acting seminars as empathetic body language coach at the Social Welfare Court in Munich to name but one venue.
