In 1999, he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as an unpaid script reader while juggling jobs in retail. In 2004 he joined Hannibal Pictures, where he helped develop and produce several feature films, including Casino Jack, The Big Bang, and Give 'Em Hell Malone.

He took on a far more active role with the films Tokarev a/k/a Rage and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. In 2019, Cam left Hannibal for a position at Enderby Entertainment.
