Attila Pacsay is an award-winning composer recognized for the quirky, dramatically supercharged score of Maestro (2005), an animated short film by Géza M. Tóth nominated for the 79th Academy Awards in 2007.

Cutting his teeth on short live action and animation films presented an unparalleled opportunity to work with dozens of directors in a broad range of genres, while finding his own voice as a film composer by the time he debuted in full length feature films.

Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, released in 2014, was a composer's rewarding debut into full length feature films, with a wide range of musical genres and styles to integrate. Adapted from a successful Broadway play, the movie brings together the ensemble of Academy Award winning and nominated actresses Gena Rowlands, Rita Moreno and Jacki Weaver, in front of the camera of Oscar-winning DOP Vilmos Zsigmond.

In the same year he has been appointed to compose accompaniment for The Undesirable (1915), an early Michael Curtiz silent film, believed to have been lost for almost a century and only recovered accidentally and restored recently.

The first public screening with live symphonic accompaniment of this cinematic treasure held at the Palace of Arts Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, in October 2014. Lecturing and tutoring at Moholy Nagy University (MOME) on history of music and creative sound, Attila has a long-running academic background that helped him connect and work with film makers in his native Hungary, from up and coming animation artists through to notable directors, such as Ferenc Cakó and Academy Award winner Ferenc Rofusz.
