He went to Primary school in 1972 & 1979 to the High School in Hünenberg, in the Canton of Zug, Switzerland. 14 Years old, he started to make short feature films on Super 8mm Film with his High School Classmate David Din.

In 1984 his parents divorced and he stayed with his father until 1988, when his father got married again. In the cellar of the house, he had an Editing- and projection room, where he worked on his film projects.

They made 6 Super 8mm short Films and one feature film, which they wrote on the PC of Andy's father. Andy & David produced, filmed, edited and synchronized their Films. They took part on a couple of Film-Festivals and screenings in Switzerland & Germany.
