Because of the nature of his fathers work, Drew spent the first 18 years of his life moving around the world; Most notably Nicosia (Cyprus), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Stuttgart (Germany). During his first year of college Drew decided his time would be better spent living his life for something bigger than self so he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

His main duty base was MCAGCC in 29 Palms, California and it was in a nearby community (Palm Springs) he happened to make contacts in the entertainment business. Upon being released from the Marines in 2001, Drew's interest was piqued at what life would be like working and living in Los Angeles - As opposed to picking up where he left 4 years earlier preparing for a career as a Financial Planner.

Soon he found jobs as a dayplayer Production Assistant and began to work his way up the food chain. He realized this was an industry where he could have fun, stretch his imagination, make a decent living, and not have to deal with cold weather.

Once he found the joys of film editing, the final puzzle piece fell into place and he decided to become an editor. Today he still gets enjoyment from his craft, in the camaraderie of the cutting room, and in collaboration with others.
