Some Alex Potter images

Alexander Potter was born September 30th, 1978, in Hollywood itself, quite close to the cinematically famous Bronson Canyon, home of the Bronson Cave, which in turn has been the lair of countless B-grade science-fiction villains and monsters.

Alex grew up in Hollywood, often playing in Bronson Canyon, and visiting Universal Studios at every opportunity. His mother Randi is an artist and his father Greg works for Silicon Valley start-up companies.

His younger sister Dru is a student.Alex began handling his first camera at the age of eight when he used his father's VHS camcorder to record numerous takes of death scenes, each of which involved gushes of "blood" purchased from the Hollywood Magic Shop.

Although there were casualties among the video cameras during the learning process, especially when duct-taped to skateboards, Alex acquired the basics of filming action, miniatures, slow-motion, and, when parental supervision was minimal, pyrotechnics.

Alex's serious involvement in movie production began after high school when he began taking related courses in local junior colleges. This led to student productions and later freelance work as a production assistant, actor, and cinematographer in such projects as Julie and Jack, and The Ticket.

Today, Alex continues to do freelance cinematography and production work, and is pursuing new classes and new projects.
