Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 7, 1991 to Margaret Grant, an artist, and Paul Coury, a business owner, Alex Michael Coury grew up as the youngest and only boy of four siblings. Being from a large family, Alex developed a jovial personality combined with a keen ability to stand out and entertain friends and family alike.
Alex's first step in his acting career came when he just was five years old. While attending a presentation of Grease at a local theater, the cast called up the budding actor and comedian onto the stage to participate in an audience dance competition.
Beating out a group of other kids and adults, Alex took gold by impersonating Danny Zuko. Then, five years later, Alex appeared in the popular TV series Bug Juice (2001), a Disney Channel production about kids trying to adapt to summer camp while making friends and having unforgettable memories along the way.
While in high school, he held several key roles at diverse school plays and was active in several different performances in Tulsa and the surrounding communities.In 2008, he moved to LA to pursue acting.
After studying Fine Arts at the New York Film Academy and a valet job at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Alex landed his first agency audition soon thereafter. Since that time, Alex has acted in a number of roles including the prom king in Avril Lavigne's music video "Here's to Never Growing Up.
"Acting is Alex's biggest passion. He is a driven and talented young man with abilities that stretch from comedic to dramatic acting. He is well-rounded in accents, voice over work, impersonations and stand-up comedy.
Understanding that acting is just one aspect of the creative process, Alex has also been involved as a producer, writer, and director in several entertains shorts as well as a series of fun-filled training videos for an important hospitality management company.
Alex has studied at Playhouse West, The Groundlings and Second City in Hollywood. In addition, he was trained in stage combat by Jack Huang (The Mummy, Pacific Rim, The Last Ship, etc.) who is one of the best fight choreographers in Hollywood.
