In 1997, Adam Horne was unaware the "entertainment bug" would bite him and doors would open that he never thought possible. When he was seven years old, he reluctantly accompanied his dad (also an actor) one Saturday to Millie Lewis of Columbia.

While waiting for his dad to finish his photoshoot, he was noticed by Sheilah Dixon who told him he had "the look." At the time, Adam didn't know what this meant, but was asked to be a part of the team of actors and models attending the five-day Millie Lewis American Model Talent Convention in Orlando, FL, now known as Actors, Model and Talent for Christ.

The convention included over 1,600 participants with a wide range of ages. After discussing this opportunity with his parents, they let him join the team. After countless Saturday morning rehearsals, Adam was prepared to compete in five categories: Runway, Group Runway, TV Commercial, Photography and Swimsuit.

The last day of the convention consisted of agent interviews and an awards ceremony. After interviewing with several potential agents, Adam was invited by Print Degrees of New York for summer representation.

Adam won 1st place in four categories and placed 3rd in Swimsuit. The biggest surprise was winning Overall Child Model for the entire children's category. Adam's parents then realized what Sheilah meant by "the look.

"Adam spent the following summer in New York City going on auditions and booking various jobs. After a successful first summer, including booking the cover for Earnshaw's magazine, Adam and his dad returned to the city for three more summers.

He was represented by Wilhelmina Kids, FFT Models and Print Degrees. He shot various magazine covers, ads and commercials including School Uniforms, Party City, Land's End and Toys-R-Us. Adam's most unique role was playing the role of Chevy Chase's son, Rusty, in a commercial for Cola Turka, which was based on the National Lampoon's Vacation movie series.

After thoughtful consideration of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry or completing high school and college, Adam decided to finish his education. During the next few years he put his dreams aside to focus on obtaining his degree.

In 2012 he graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. For the next four years, he worked full time as a spirits sales representative for Diageo North America, but realized something was missing.

Adam contemplated continuing his career in the corporate world or pursuing his dreams. Considering he is single, with no obligations to family, now would be the opportunity for him to follow his aspirations.

Adam's advice to people who are unhappy with their current job situation is to take a leap of faith and follow their dreams.Adam is currently represented by Carolina Talent located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Carolina Talent is Charlotte's longest running and one of the most respected modeling and talent agencies. If you are interested in knowing more information about Adam please reach out to the necessary department or fill out the message box on the contact page on his website.
